OPPO and Panasonic Signed Global Patent Cross-License Agreement

January 14, 2025, SHENZHEN-Leading smart device company OPPO today announced a global patent cross- license agreement with Panasonic covering cellular standard essential patents. The agreement, achieved through amicable discussions, also includes other intellectual property collaborations and resolves all pending patent disputes in all jurisdictions.

Vincent Lin, Head of Patent Licensing at OPPO, stated, "We are delighted to have reached this global patent cross-license agreement with Panasonic. It reflects the mutual recognition and respect for each other's intellectual property and sets the stage for further IP collaboration. OPPO always respects intellectual property rights and advocates resolutions on mutually beneficial terms. OPPO will continue to advocate for reasonable patent royalties that support a long-term healthy IP ecosystem."
