November 2, 2021, Shenzhen, China – OPPO, the leading global tech company, today announced that the OPPO Find X3 Pro has received the Mobile Device Fundamentals Protection Profile (MDFPP) Common Criteria (CC) certification. This marks a significant milestone in universal recognition of superior data security on OPPO smartphones.
The CC certification is one of the world's most widely recognized standards in international security certification. It is often used to address security requirements for extremely security-sensitive industries, such as EMV cards, network systems, etc. It is currently recognized as the Gold Standard across 31 countries globally.
The MDFPP CC certification that the OPPO Find X3 Pro has received is by far the most demanding international certification in the field of mobile device security. It addresses seven fundamental security requirements covering all stages of the product development lifecycle, including smartphone security audit, cryptographic support, user data protection, identity and authentication, security management, target of evaluation access, and trusted
path/channels. A total of 178 technical requirement certifications and 155 user cases were analysed in multiple rounds of testing.
This certification means that OPPO Find X3 Pro not only guarantees information security in daily life but also that it meets the more stringent enterprise security standards. OPPO has adopted international standards in both information storage and transmissions to ensure data cannot be read or tampered with during daily use and OTA upgrades. In addition, to encourage more developers to participate in shaping a healthier and safer mobile internet ecology, OPPO has unlocked several features during the certification process, which are now available on the OPPO open source platform.
Speaking on the certification, Mr. Andy Wu, President of Software Engineering Department, VP of OPPO, pointed out, “In recent years, OPPO has consistently working on bettering our security offerings in order to offer better user security and privacy in terms of product security and compliance. The CC MDFPP certification of the OPPO Find X3 Pro comes as a validation of our efforts and our promise to continue to focus on offering superior security protection for our 400 million end users and to create secure and reliable products.”
OPPO has always valued the importance of smartphone security, constantly providing users the most uncompromising protection and consistently working on perfecting safer security protection modes for the protocol stack, data lifecycle, and the whole system architecture.
