Higher Capacity; Smaller Size
In smartphone batteries, the anode material plays a critical role–it's the carrier for lithium ions and electrons during charging–making it the heart of energy storage and release. Traditional lithium-ion batteries rely on graphite for this, but silicon-carbon anodes offer a breakthrough, with over ten times the capacity of graphite. This means more energy in less space, unlocking the possibility for higher-capacity batteries that are lighter and slimmer.
At OPPO, we're constantly pushing for ways to increase silicon content to maximize energy density, and for Find X8 Series, we've achieved a new milestone by incorporating high-capacity, low-expansion silicon.
Advanced techniques like laser drilling and use of high-strength copper foil were also refined to further reduce the battery pack size, which combined with the breakthrough in silicon carbon, resulted in game-changing battery life gains for both Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.
For Find X8, the thickness of the battery pack drops from 5.87mm in the previous generation to just 5.1mm, allowing for a super-slim 7.85mm body. Despite this reduction in size, thanks to the breakthroughs made possible by the new silicon-carbon technology, the battery capacity of Find X8 increases from 5000mAh to 5630mAh, with an energy density of 819Wh/L (Typ). This is a remarkable 21% increase when compared with traditional solutions.
For Find X8 Pro, the larger size enabled us to push the battery capacity to an impressive 5910mAh, the largest in the Find Series phone. Yet, we maintained a sleek 8.24mm profile, overturning the status quo that a high-capacity, long-lasting battery can't be combined with an elegant, slim-designed smartphone.
Record-Breaking Battery Life with Lightning-Fast Charging
On a full charge, Find X8 and Find X8 Pro can stream videos for more than 20 hours, which equates to over 30 episodes of your favourite series on a single charge.
For a flagship like the Find Series, this kind of battery life isn't just convenient; it's essential, especially for creators who don't want to be weighed down by power banks. With Find X8 Pro, you can record Dolby Vision videos continuously for 7.2 hours. It's the kind of freedom that lets you create without limits, transforming the phone into a vlogging and content-capture system.
A cornerstone of a quality battery experience is fast charging, and Find X8 Series supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, so you're always just a few minutes away from hours of extra uptime.
