OPPO Care Protection Plan Service Policy (“Agreement”)
This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions governing OPPO Care offered to all OPPO mobile device (“OPPO Product”) customers (“Customer”).
i. Types of Protections
OPPO 1-Year Screen Protection Warranty (“Screen Protection Warranty”)
This Screen Protection Warranty may be purchased within 7 days from the purchase of OPPO Product, subject to and provided that the OPPO Product’s screen is fully functional, without any visible damage or crack. Such warranty shall be effective for a period of one (1) year (“Effective Period”). During the Effective Period, screen of the same type replacement shall be carried out by Jie Business Sdn Bhd (“JBSB”) (the sole and exclusive distributor of OPPO Product in Malaysia) without any charge to the Customer, for any damage to the screen due to accident.
Details for the protection is as follows:
i. During the Effective Period, screen of the same type replacement shall be carried out by JBSB, without any charge to the Customer, for any damage to the screen due to accident (“Replacement”). Accidents shall include, but not limited to, accidentally dropping the OPPO Product and/or collision of any nature causing the OPPO Product’s screen to crack or suffer any damage.
ii. Customer shall be entitled to one (1) time only replacement of screen during the Effective Period.
iii. This warranty is restricted to screen damage only. Any cost incurred for repairs/replacement of parts, other than screen damage, shall be borne by the Customer.
iv. In the event of other malfunction occurring and/or damage existing simultaneously during a screen replacement and such malfunction hinders screen replacement under the Screen Protection Warranty by JBSB, the Customer shall proceed to repair and/or replace such malfunction and damage, at its own cost, prior to JBSB replacing the damaged screen under the Screen Protection Warranty protection.
OPPO 1-Year Extended Warranty (“Extended Warranty”)
This Extended Warranty may be purchased within 180 days from the purchase of OPPO Product, subject to and provided that the OPPO Product is still under the protection of its original warranty (which is still valid at the date of the purchase of the Extended Warranty). Such warranty shall be effective for a period of one (1) year (“Effective Period”) pursuant to the expiry of the OPPO Products’ original warranty.
Details for the protection is as follows:
i. This Extended Warranty covers maintenance of the OPPO Product only, without cost to the Customer, subsequent to the expiry of the original warranty for the OPPO Product, excluding damage to other components and accessories such as back cover, charger adapter, cable(s), earphone, removable battery and promotional gifts (if any).
ii. This Extended Warranty excludes replacement of device.
iii. In the event it is found that the OPPO Product had previously been tampered with by another party, other than JBSB, the Customer will not be entitled to claim for maintenance under this Extended Warranty.
Note:
Purchase of OPPO Care products must be registered in JBSB’s customer service system. Failure to do so will result in Customer being unable to claim under the OPPO Care.
ii. How to Claim
To claim under OPPO Care, the Customer shall send the damaged OPPO Product and receipt of purchase of Screen Protection Warranty or Extended Warranty (whichever is applicable) to any OPPO Official Service Center for verification and screen replacement/maintenance work to be carried on the OPPO Product. The Customer shall be responsible to collect the repaired OPPO Product after being informed that the same has been repaired.
Customers are reminded to perform sufficient data backup prior to sending the OPPO Product to OPPO Official Service Center. JBSB shall not be responsible for any loss of or damage to data stored in the OPPO Product whilst the OPPO Product is within its custody for screen replacement and/or maintenance works.
iii. Protection Period
Screen Protection Warranty protection shall commence at 00:00 (midnight) on the day after the purchase of the OPPO Care product and shall expire at 23:59 (midnight) on the first anniversary of the purchase.
Extended Warranty protection shall commence at 00:00 (midnight) after the original warranty of the OPPO Product expires at 23:59 (midnight) the day before and shall expire at 23:59 (midnight) on the first anniversary of the protection activation.
iv. Maintenance Criteria
i. All damaged spare parts and/or products replaced or repaired under the above mentioned warranties shall remain as property of JBSB and therefore be retained by the same.
ii. OPPO Official Service Center shall determine whether an OPPO Product qualifies for claim(s) under OPPO Care. Only qualified OPPO Products may proceed for claims.
v. OPPO Care Exemptions
In the event any of the following are found, the above mentioned OPPO Care protection shall not be applicable and JBSB shall not be responsible for any replacement and/or repair:
i. Mismatch of model and IMEI number or inability to identify IMEI number due to damage, rendering it impossible to determine whether the OPPO Product is under OPPO Care protection;
ii. Damage to OPPO Product relating to criminal activity(ies) by the Customer;
iii. OPPO Products on recall by manufacturer, with design defect(s) or quality issues;
iv. Fair wear and tear, aging, dust accumulation, condensation, heat or other gradual means causing damage (such as, but not limited to, external scratches, paint stripping, fading of paint, depression, rust or crack) to the OPPO Product;
v. Damage (caused by, but not limited to, perforation, smashing, spare parts missing/detached) rendering repair works impossible;
vi. Loss of OPPO Product, including by theft;
vii. Malfunction caused by virus leading to system and/or software malfunction;
viii. OPPO Product malfunction which is covered under its original warranty;
ix. Damages or loss due to war, hostilities, military actions, armed conflict, strike, riot, terrorism, and natural disasters, including but not limited to, typhoon, flood, earthquake, volcano eruptions, tsunami, nuclear reactions and radiations;
x. OPPO Product found to have been tampered with, including disassembling and repair, by another party other than OPPO Service Center;
xi. Malfunction subsequent to the expiry of OPPO Care.
vi. OPPO Care Termination, Refund and Changes
Termination
OPPO Care shall be automatically terminated in the following events:
i. Expiry of Effective Period;
ii. OPPO Product tampered with, including disassembling and repair, by another party other than OPPO Service Center;
iii. False and/or fraudulent misrepresentation to JBSB;
iv. Customer has purchased other warranty protection from JBSB.
Refund
No refund of purchase of OPPO Care is allowed after its purchase. In the event the cost of an OPPO Product is refunded for any reason whatsoever, the cost of OPPO Care purchased together with the OPPO Product shall be excluded from such refund.
Transfer of OPPO Care
OPPO Care is dedicated to a specific OPPO Product used for registration during purchase. Neither of the OPPO Care product above is eligible for transfer to another OPPO Product unless the OPPO Product suffers from quality issues leading to a one-to-one or motherboard replacement. In such case, the OPPO Care purchased shall be transferred to the new OPPO Product so replaced.
vii. Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed, construed and shall take effect in accordance with the Laws of Malaysia and the Customer agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian Courts.
I, hereby confirm that I have read all the terms and conditions of this Agreement and I fully understand and agree to be bound by this Agreement for the above mentioned OPPO Care package.
