Today OPPO launched the latest OPPO A53s in New Zealand designed to deliver a faster and smoother performance for users.

Boasting a blazing-fast 90Hz Neo-Display, the OPPO A53s offers an immersive and smooth viewing experience and showcases technology that rivals flagship phones. The 3D-curved Iridescent Wave Design in the A53s has an integrated curved body equipped with a 5000mAh Large Battery and 18W Fast Charge to keep your phone running longer. Additionally, the Qualcomm’s latest octa-core processor and OPPO’s first RAM+ Memory Optimization masters an all-around fast performance.

Powered by a large 5000mAh battery, A53s is equipped with a high battery capacity that can get you through the day on just a single charge. That paired with 18W Fast Charge feature, allows users to quickly top to recharge the device in no time. In the case of a low battery, the Super Power Saving Mode can extend battery life even with just 5% remaining through a series of power saving strategies, while Sleep Standby Optimization consumes only 2% of your battery, giving users up to 8 hours of standby time overnight.

To ensure a fast performance, the A53s comes packed with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon octa-core processor, which offers an impressive mobile performance that’s exceptional among its class for its speed and efficiency. The A53s also sports 128GB of storage, which can be expanded to 256GB through a 3-Card Slot, giving you the flexibility to store as much as you want directly on your phone.

In addition to its powerful hardware, the A53s comes with OPPO’s first RAM+ Memory Optimization, an industrial-leading anti-lagging algorithm that is being introduced on A53s for the first time. It works by optimizing the algorithm to expand the cache storage on the device’s RAM. This facilitates a smoother operation and greatly speeds up the time it takes to open an app. It also significantly increases the performance speed of A53s at a software level, even after prolonged use and even after opening and running apps continuously.

OPPO A53s boasts a 90Hz Neo-Display that supports 90Hz display refresh rate for a smoother and more responsive viewing experience when browsing the internet or scrolling through social media.  

The A53s has a large 6.5 inch HD+ screen that is accented by a single punch hole design that not only maximises the screen but also offers eye protection so you can comfortably view the screen in the sun. Equipped with AI Brightness the screen automatically adjusts the screens backlight based on how it learns its user’s brightness preferences.

To augment its premium look, the A53s introduces new engraving and plating textures that shimmer with iridescent color gradients and come in Fancy Blue and Electric Black.

The camera on OPPO’s A53s gives you the ability to capture every detail and snap photos as close as 4cm through the 2MP macro camera. The AI Triple Camera is also complimented by an array of stylish camera features including Portrait Bokeh, which captures natural bokeh effects while preserving the authentic details in the photo. Dazzle Color Mode reconstructs colors within images for more vivid photographs by using advanced scene recognition technology. You’ll also get access to more than a dozen Stylish Filters to add a dash of flair to your daily photographs and videos.

The A53s comes with ColorOS 7.2 right out of the box. With ColorOS 7.2 you’ll enjoy a fast and smooth user experience that increases the efficiency of your day-to-day. For example, Music Party introduces a fun way to replicate surround sound and liven up any party by synchronously connecting multiple phones to the same LAN connection. Multi-User Mode keeps your personal data safe by allowing you to set up independent spaces on your phone, where you can save and password lock sensitive files.

To make it easier to reach apps on A53s larger screen with one hand, Icon Pull-Down Gesture shrinks app icons on the home screen so that all your apps are within thumb’s reach. On the other hand, Simple Mode can instead enlarge app icons and fonts on the home screen, which tailors the user experience in every capacity.

Pricing and availability

OPPO A53s is available starting 20 October at Vodafone and will come in two colours, Fancy Blue and Electric Black.

A53s will be available for purchase at a retail price of $399.
