OPPO’s Newest A77s Lands in Singapore

The new A77s comes with long-lasting battery, premium design and enhanced imaging capabilities to deliver all-round smooth performance for users

28 November 2022, SINGAPORE — OPPO today announced the launch of the new OPPO A77s in Singapore. Featuring upgrades in photography, entertainment, and the ColorOS 12.1 operating system, the OPPO A77s delivers all-round smooth performance for users. The advanced 33W SUPERVOOC_TM Flash Charge and a 5,000mAh large battery provide greater freedom when using the A77s. The fantastic overall performance is complemented by the Ultra-Slim Retro Design, which is created with a premium Fiberglass-leather finish or the latest iconic OPPO Glow.

Stunning design that delights and captivates
Built using OPPO’s unique manufacturing processes, the A77s is available in two fresh colour finishes: Sunset Orange and Starry Black.

The Sunset Orange model comes with a vibrant orange colour and unique leather-like touch made possible through the use of the industry-first Fiberglass-leather design. The Starry Black model features the iconic OPPO Glow, and is based on a pure black backdrop that draws inspiration from stars shining gently across the dark night sky.

With its Ultra-Slim Retro Design body, the A77s is just 7.99 mm thick and weighs only 187 g¹, giving the phone a sleek and premium appearance while being comfortable to hold and ergonomic to operate in any situation.

Over 130 ultra-rigorous reliability tests and more than 320 comprehensive quality tests are conducted on each A77s, to verify that the phone is resistant to water splashes, scratches, abrasion, and other common wear and tear, giving users peace of mind when it comes to daily use.

Long-lasting battery and safe Flash Charge for worry-free use
With 33W SUPERVOOC_TM Flash Charge, the A77s can be charged to 100% in about 71 minutes, while a 5-minute charge is enough to provide 2.98 hours of phone calls². When fully charged, the long-lasting 5,000mAh battery can provide more than 14 days of standby or over 17 hours of typical YouTube video viewing.

Charging hardware protection, including overvoltage and overcurrent protection technologies, ensures that the battery is always charged safely. Optimised Night Charging can leverage AI capabilities to learn users’ sleeping habits and set a tailored charging plan accordingly to prevent over-charging of the battery, helping users feel safe when charging overnight.

Upgraded hardware for enhanced entertainment experiences
For those who love to capture special moments on camera, the A77s is equipped with a 50MP AI Dual Camera and new features to capture incredible video and photo content: Bokeh Flare Portrait allows users to capture portrait images with rich bokeh light spots like a professional camera, while Selfie HDR provides clear selfies even under dimly lit or backlit conditions.

The A77s’s dual Ultra-Linear Stereo Speaker with DIRAC 3.0 delivers higher-quality stereo audio with enhanced volume in videos, while the 6.56-inch Color-Rich display with 90Hz high refresh rate ensures a smooth and comfortable display for users to enjoy high-definition video content and games on.

At the heart of the A77s is the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 680 4G Mobile Platform, delivering a 102% increase in CPU performance, and a 76% increase in GPU performance compared to the previous generation³. The 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM configuration supports enlarged storage and a smoother user experience, enabling more possibilities for everyday entertainment. RAM Expansion technology can augment the original RAM up to 8GB, and the phone also supports SD card expansion of up to 1TB ROM.

ColorOS 12.1 provides improved security and efficiency
The A77s provides enhanced data privacy and information security powered by features in ColorOS 12.1. Photo Data Privacy is one of such features that allows users to easily remove detailed photo and video meta data, helping to prevent private information from being leaked. With the Privacy Dashboard, users can also see and manage how applications access their personal data, ensuring that sensitive information is not used inappropriately.

ColorOS 12.1 is also built for convenience and efficiency. FlexDrop allows users to keep an additional app open in a small floating window, providing more effective multi-tasking when switching between apps. Three-Finger Translate with Google Lens can quickly translate text in the selected area of a screenshot and includes support for over 100 languages.

Market Availability
The OPPO A77s will be available in Sunset Orange and Starry Black from 1^st December 2022 in Singapore. The 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM model will be priced at S$329 at the official OPPO concept store islandwide, as well as across OPPO’s Amazon, Lazada, Qoo10, Shopee and TikTok flagship stores, authorised retailers, and partner consumer electronic stores.
